Poster Analysis 3

Squid Game is a South Korean series where 456 players are invited to join this game where they could win just over 38 million dollars. Throughout the series they have to play games to win each round and the games used within the series are Korean children's games such as red light, green light. This poster is advertising season two of Squid Games. The colour scheme of the poster is colourful, green and pink are two colours which are key in Squid Game as the players wear green tracksuits and the workers wear pink. The set in Squid Game also consists of these colours. The rule of thirds isn't applied to this poster as there isn't one specific main image in the middle of the poster. The main characters are positioned facing forwards, 456 being at the front. The cash prize in the piggy bank is above the characters in the top middle of the poster and appears lit up with a warm golden light. Having the money looming above the characters' heads suggests that money is their motivation and this desire is a key theme. The darkness surrounding the other players highlights how the players' thoughts are consumed with this ultimate goal of winning money and will go to any length to achieve this. The cover lines on the poster are in Korean and the main cover line is the title of the series in a pink and white font. The target audience for this poster is young adults between the ages of 15-30. The poster is targeted at both genders as there are both women and men on the poster and the use of colours attracts either gender.
